Call for Papers


IRSC welcomes paper submissions on a wide range of topics around autonomous sailing, including (but not limited to):

  • actuators for autonomous sailing
  • applications of autonomous sailing boats
  • collision avoidance and boat to boat communication
  • control architectures and algorithms
  • energy and power management
  • hardware and software organisation
  • legal issues for autonomous vessels
  • machine learning and adaptation
  • mechanical design and advanced materials
  • robotic boats in teaching
  • route planning and optimization
  • sensors for autonomous sailing

The conference proceedings will be published with Springer. There is no specific form for the abstract other than a two (A4) page limit. However, the final paper needs to be formatted according to the Springer proceedings template.

Please submit your two page abstracts by email to sailing@rob.uni-luebeck.de!


Deadlines


  • April 1st, 2011: submission of two page extended abstracts
  • April 29th, 2011: notification of acceptance
  • May 31st, 2011: submission of final papers (up to fifteen pages)
  • May 31st, 2011: presenting author registration
  • July 1st, 2011: registration for conference
